If cupboard space were not an issue, I would have happily kept the Cusinart ICE-21. It did the job just fine, and deserves its top ranking. If you already have an Ankarsrum and limited storage space, the ice cream attachment may be worth the extra money, and is a fine alternative.

Ice Cream Maker
I love the ice cream maker attachment to my Ankarsrum mixer. I’m still experimenting with different recipes and really hope to be able to make protein-centric, sugar free ice cream. What I didn’t love is that my package had ants crawling all over the inside of the shipping container (not in the attachment box itself though). I wrote to the company but never received a reply which was disappointing.
